Find a teacher for your level now
You can manage the first 3 months on your own. After that, you need someone to check your technique to keep improving. Tick what applies to you, and we'll tell you your level. Then we'll find teachers and music schools that fit your instrument, area and lesson format (Korea only for now).

Level self-check — tick what applies
We list only teachers whose experience and demo videos we've checked, and show sample profiles until then. First Guitar only connects teachers and students and is not a party to any deal. No listing or matching fees for the first 6 months.
Register as a teacher or school →How matching works. Inquiry → sent to the teacher → first lesson (trial) → decide whether to continue → review. We suggest holding the first lesson in a public place or at a music school. Teachers submit proof of experience and a demo video, and carry a 'New' tag until their first 3 reviews.
Can't find the right teacher?
Tell us your instrument, level, area and goal, and we'll connect you with a matching teacher as they join (Korea only).
How far on your own, and when to learn with someone
Each stage has different goals and a different place to learn. For beginners, the First Guitar roadmap is enough; from intermediate on, a teacher makes your practice more efficient.
Where to learn
For the same money, the right place depends on your goal.
Are you a teacher or music school?
